Sri Lanka, the Resplendent Isle, lies at the southern tip of India. Once the Spice Island of the East, it was Taprobane to the Greeks, Serendib to the Arabs and Lanka to the Indians. It is a beautiful tropic land and people are friendly, smiling and given to the easy harmony of island life.
