Ciao Italy! Upon arrival please make your way to your hotel. Check in and the rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore this really unique city on water. Later in the evening relax aboard a gondola, cruising through the serene Grand Canal, accompanied by some great Italian singing. Overnight in Venice.
The morning is set aside for a walking tour of the San Marco Square. The Basilica of San Marco is stunning! The square also houses a fabulous museum and loads of pretty cafés. Following the tour, do explore the narrow lanes and winding alleys on San Marco. You would surely stumble on something exclusive and uncommon. Later in the afternoon, we recommend you sail to Murano to see how the beautiful coloured glass is made, then on to the pretty islands of Burano, famous for its lace and its brightly coloured fishermen's houses and Torcello, the earliest centre of civilization in the estuary. Enjoy a sumptuous meal at any of the lovely cafés on your own, before you head back to the hotel for a good night’s rest. Overnight in Venice.
Check out of the hotel in the morning and make your way to the main train station for a three hour train journey to Florence. Upon arrival, please make your way to the hotel and check in. Florence is a lovely city set in the famous wine growing Tuscany region. In the evening, we recommend you walk around the Tuscan countryside or spend time at the bridge which houses the longest sheltered shopping promenade where you can find hawkers and small shops selling the most unique of jewellery and other knick knacks. The morning is free at leisure. Your afternoon tour to Pisa gives you an opportunity to take in some wonderful scenery en-route to the historic university town, most famous for its curious Leaning Tower. Walk to Piazza dei Cavalieri, which houses the Scuola Normale, one of the most famous universities in the world. Your tour returns to Florence in the evening. Relax and spend a nice quiet evening here. Overnight in Florence.
Do make your way to the train station in the morning and board the train for a two hour journey to Rome. On arrival, please make your way to your hotel. Check in and relax. In the afternoon we recommend you walk around the city to the famous monuments and absorb the architecture and the culture that is so rich here. Rome also has some great places to shop. Your panoramic Rome Illuminations tour, starts at around 19:00 hours. The city comes alive at night. You will see a magical side of Rome, as the monuments that you have seen during the day look completely transformed with the illumination! Overnight in Rome.
This morning is earmarked for your tour to the richest country in the world – the Vatican. Marvel at the treasures of the Vatican, including the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museum where you'll see a fine collection of antiquities, the fascinating Tapestry Gallery and the art and architecture. Following the tour the rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax or explore the city further. Overnight in Rome.
Rome is a city that grows on you. With loads to do, another day in Rome promises to be exciting and keep you enthralled! We strongly recommend you opting for a full day trip down the Italian Riviera to Naples, Capri and Sorrento. This tour would also take you to visit the world famous Blue Grotto. Overnight in Rome.
