Welcome to the land of the Pharos. On arrival, you are met and escorted to your hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Cairo.
Experience history as you take a full day tour of the city. It includes a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, old Cairo and the San Sergious Church. The tour terminates at the Khan el Khalily Bazaar where you can explore the arts, crafts and other shopping opportunities. Do make your own way back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
After breakfast this morning, you are transferred to the airport to board a flight to Aswan. On arrival, you are met and escorted to your cruise. Lunch is served on board the cruise. Later in the evening you are taken for a visit to the world famous High Dam, an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. Also visit the beautiful Temple of Philae that is dedicated to the goddess Isis and is set on its own island. You then set sail towards Kom Ombo. Overnight on the cruise.
In the morning, visit the Kom Ombo Temple dedicated to the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris. The temple dates back to about 180 BC during the Ptolemaic era, with additions made in Roman times. It stands on the bank of the Nile between Edfu and Aswan. Later in the evening, its time to set sail to Edfu, where you are taken on a visit to the Temple of Horus, built during the reigns of the Ptolemies between 237 BC and 57 BC. Continue sailing to Esna, cross the lock and finally sail into Luxor. Overnight on the cruise.
Cross to west bank of the Nile, to visit the Deir el Bahari which is a complex of mortuary temples and tombs. Visit the temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Kings and Colossi of Memnon. The afternoon is free for you to relax and enjoy the amenities available on board the cruise. Overnight on the cruise in Luxor.
Enjoy breakfast on board the cruise before disembarking. You are taken to the airport, to board your flight to Cairo. On arrival at Cairo you are transferred to your hotel for the night. Overnight in Cairo.
Your wonderful holiday comes to an end today. It is time to leave for the airport in the wee hours of the morning as you are escorted for your flight back home.
