Mercury
Himalayan Explorations (MHE), is a joint venture between Mercury
Travels Limited and Col. N Kumar, a renowned mountaineer.
MHE caters exclusively to adventure tourism in the Indian
Himalayas. White water rafting, camping, trekking, ski touring
and climbing expeditions are some of our specialities. We
also undertake camel, vehicles and cycle safaris. Our adventure
programmes are customised to suit every budget, taste, age
group and level of expertise and preference.
As part of our regular activities, we organise nature and
adventure camps at Rishikesh, Ladakh and Damdamma lake near
Delhi. All MHE camps offer comfortable accommodation in deluxe
swiss tents and portable homes which are supplemented by sumptuous
outdoor cuisine and a variety of adventure activities like
river rafting, hot air ballooning, trekking, bird watching,
rock climbing and kayaking, Our unique camps act as ideal
locations for conducting outdoor corporate training programmers,
incentives and conferences.
SELF
DRIVE OFF ROAD VEHICLES EXPEDITIONS
For the
first time in India, MHE introduces self drive off road 4
wheels tours. These guided
tours will involve a minimum of five self driven 4x4 vehicles
with accompanying guides, cooks, mechanics and four wheel
drive experts. The four wheel drive vehicles have been specially
refitted to handle the most difficult of terrains. Tours in Ladakh and Rajasthan include accommodation in mobile tented
camps and heritage palace properties.
WHITE WATER RAFTING
Take 13,000 cubic feet of water,
add a few good friends and you’ve got an action packed
white water trip with MHE.
A trip that will pull you out of everyday existence and
throw you into a world of thrills, chills and spills.
While rafting on the crystal clear waters
of the Ganga, you will experience
some of the most
exciting white
water sections in India. Camping
on exotic sandy beaches and floating down the holiest river
on earth is indeed a brilliant combination.
MHE’s rafting
operations were launched in 1985 and are today the largest
in India. MHE today has the maximum first descents to it’s
credit on rivers ranging from the Indus in Ladakh, The
Teesta in Sikkim to the mighty Bhramaputra in the wilderness
of Arunachal Pradesh.
 We
believe that a skillful guide can turn a run-of-the-rapid
rafting trip into a rip roaring good time. MHE guides posses
the uncanny combination of a teacher, lifeguard, story
teller and comedian. All our guides are certified in
first aid and CPR and ccome with
